Yoga Class Levels

Our class levels are a guideline designed to make it easy for students to see at a glance which classes are best suited for you to attend. They are not meant as a formal or structured system. If you have any questions about which classes are right for you, ask any teacher or email us at info@amarayoga.com.

Basic/Intro:

Amara offers Basic/Intro classes and workshops designed to introduce new students to a yoga practice or to reacquaint students who are returning to yoga after a break. Our Basic/Intro classes are designed to give students the time and support to understand the proper alignment of yoga asanas (postures) and breathing techniques, and prepare them for more advanced classes.

All (Level 1-3):

All level classes are designed so that everyone from beginners to advanced practitioners can enjoy and modify the practice to their own pace. Reasonably fit newcomers with an understanding of how to keep their body safe and know their limits in poses are welcome – make sure to let the teacher know if you are new to yoga.

Level 2-3:

Level 2-3 classes will take your practice to the next level. You will go deeper into each pose, and your teacher will help you achieve breakthroughs in your practice. These classes may include inversions and advanced modifications. Not recommended for beginners or those with serious injuries or physical limitations. Not sure if you're ready? Ask any teacher before or after a class.

You can see our class schedule and sign up online or at the studio before class.
