Kids Teachers

Kathryn is the Gallery Director and a co-founder/co-owner of Amara
Yoga & Arts. Kathryn holds a Masters of Fine Arts from the San Francisco Art Institute,
and a Masters in Special Education from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Kathryn holds the following teaching certificates through the State of
Illinois:
- Illinois Elementary Self Contained
General Education K-9
- Illinois Art K-12
- Illinois Secondary 6-12 Art
- Illinois Learning Behavior Specialist pre-K - age 21
Kathryn has a
background in gymnastics and dance, and has been an avid yoga practitioner for over 6
years. In 2011 Kathryn completed her 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training through Amara/YogaWorks. She teaches group and private kids yoga and art classes at Amara. Kathryn is a certified yoga teacher and is also certified as an associate in teaching yoga to children through the YogaKids program. She has been teaching art to children with various special needs at Cunnningham
Children's Home in Urbana for the past 9 years. At Amara she teaches yoga and art to children and teens.

Kate Insolia is a teacher,
performing artist and choreographer. Insolia received her B.A. in Dance from Sarah
Lawrence College and her M.F.A in Dance from the University of Illinois at
Urbana-Champaign where she was a Graduate Teaching Assistant. She is a certified yoga teacher through the YogaWorks 200 Hour Teacher Training program at Amara.
Kate has been teaching dance and movement classes to kids in since 2006. She taught at
Ballet D’Enfant: A Fairy Tale Ballet in Chicago. Kate teaches Fairytale Ballet, yoga, and
creative movement classes and camps at Amara.

Luna first experienced yoga at Amara
when the studio opened in May of 2009, and with her background in gymnastics, took to it
immediately. She soon developed a strong practice and a passion for the yogic way of life.
In the summer of 2010 Luna completed a 200 hour yoga teacher training immersion program
through YogaWorks in Santa Monica California. Luna's classes are relaxing and
meditative, encouraging a sense of peace.
Luna has been teaching children since
high school, where she taught swimming to elementary school students. When she is not
practicing yoga, Luna is a busy college student at the University of Illinois. Luna
teaches group yoga classes for adults and kids classes and camps at Amara.

Donna Warwick
Donna is a
co-founder of the Champaign Urbana Ballet (www.cuballet.com) and has continued to serve on the Board of
Directors since the company began in 1998. She has over 20 years of dance training and is
also an experienced elementary and preschool teacher. Currently, she is on the faculty of
Champaign Ballet Academy (www.champaignballet.com).
A s the instructor of the young children's division, Donna teaches Introduction
to Ballet and her own creative movement classes. She created and developed the
Artsfusion and Music and Motion programs and now offers
a Fairytale Ballet class which allows children to dress in costume and
dance each week to a new chapter of DonnaÃŒs own original fairytale. Donna teaches
children’s ballet classes and parent/child movement classes at Amara.
